Mlaker Transportation is a three-generation family business with two divisions: Mlaker Charter & Tours, and Mlaker Student Transportation.
Located in Davidsville, our company was founded by Ralph Mlaker, who became involved with selling and operating school buses after he returned from serving in the Korean War. Ralph drove a school bus as he worked his way through St. Vincent College, and after graduation remained in the industry. He soon built a garage for servicing the buses of his employer at the time – and that garage became the original site of Mlaker Transportation, which was officially launched in 1997.
Ralph’s son, Craig, retired from dairy farming to join his dad at the new company, which originally focused on school transportation only. In 1999, Mlaker branched out and bought its first charter bus. Matt Mlaker, Craig’s son, joined the company in 2008.
Over the years, the company has continued to grow. The original garage has been expanded several times, and Mlaker has opened several satellite offices to better serve the needs of the communities that use our school bus service. We employ more than 325 people, and are committed to providing the latest technology and amenities to all our customers.
